Hi All,
SLK 230 Kompressor Auto, R170, 1999 (V), 97k.
I've had the K40 relay soldered every single solder, cleaned the MAF (it was oily), cleaned the crank sensor, cleaned air flap sensor. Car had just been serviced new air filter, plugs, oil & coolant.
The problem I have is once driving it won't kick down & while trying to boot it, it just splutters like the gases can't escape through the cat making a splutter popping sound around 3000 rpm. The kompressor kicks in at 2000 rpm as normal. Car will sometimes just cut out whilst at idle. I've tried driving without the MAF plugged in, sometimes works but the Kompressor doesn't with that unplugged. I've also tried with the air flap unplugged & both at the same time.
Any help & advice would be much appreciated.
