No photo unfortunately but a Mercedes came up behind me in Upper Haliford with an LED lit star on the grille. Looked like a cheap Christmas decoration.

I’ve seen those. Whilst they look chav I do think that if Merc did them as OEM they the light would be somewhat better and they won’t be so chav.

Wolseley cars had a lit badge and the Police used them, my Father had one and said drivers in front of him would often slow down at night!

Better than the Kirkland badge and at least it's American.

Amg did a diesel
I do often wonder if merc fit AMG badges to AMG line cars to promote sales by shrewd marketing . Seems a hell of a lot of AMG badges on such cars and they don't seems inappropriately attached.

Do Mercedes actually factory fit AMG exterior badges on any "AMG Line" models?
I thought it was just owners that add the badges.
I would be genuinely interested to know which models they do this on, and if so is it still a current practice?

Not the factory, but maybe some dealers, others on here have suggested the same. My C300 was delivered by MB-owned dealer Mercedes Brentford, with an AMG badge (perfectly aligned) on the boot lid. I remember checking on the AMG line spec with the dealer on the phone, but I'm sure I didn't ask for the badge. I quite like it though, so it's staying.

First thing I told my dealer when I was buying the CLS was remove that thing, it doesn’t belong. I think it would have been better to remove all of the badges other than the CLS in retrospect.

Used to have a C63...
I just wish the boot badge told you what cc the f*****g engine is.
Does make me laugh... HowDi switched to using numbers they say are based on power from equivalent capacity - a mate was loaned an A3 "30 TSI", supposedly equivalent to a 3.0 in old money. It not only couldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding, it couldn't even peer in the bowl!

It was so bad he went back to dealer following day and said they'd have to do better! It was truly awful, and wouldn't have seen my old (57-reg) CLS 3.0 diesely weasely for dust!

I had some 216 Rover badges to go on my Opel wings years ago just to confuse, a close match to the cubic inches.

No pics I'm afraid - but someone in my work car park - when we used to travel - had a C200 or C220 or something and put Brabus badges all over it... I don't know how anyone could drive something like that and retain their respect and self-dignity...yet this person thought he was the dogs....

Not sure the registration plates are legal either. I thought the only logos permitted were either Euro or GB ?

I think that anything else is only "illegal" if you take the car out of the Country, England etc are only OK here, but the only acceptable plates now once we cross the Channel are UK. I've got plates showing nothing more than the reg, but if we're ever allowed abroad again, I'll add a stick on UK disk. GB or Euro plates are no longer good enough, and you never want to give a gendarme even the slightest excuse to stop your car.
