Hey there!
I currently drive a w124 200D auto (first car) which I’ve had for a year, I do thoroughly enjoy the car, but can’t help lusting over a dream w123 car I have wanted since I was a child. My issue is this - where I am located, it is near impossible to find any w123’s under 2.5 and 2.8. where I am located, there is also a 5 year period you must be driving for till you can drive a car with an engine over 2.0 maximum (4 year’s left for me). My query is, is it worth downgrading the engine from a 2.8 or 2.5 to a 2.0, and would this be possible with my w124 for example? My apologies if I come across as uneducated, I am just a Mercedes lover, and not too knowledgeable on the technical aspect’s as of yet. Appreciate any help or response’s!
