W204 c220 cdi - front left leak

Hi all, would really appreciate any help on this. Had a pretty large pool of what looks like oil show up under front left, behind wheel. Looks to be from axle. Got steam cleaned and raised at a garage and they were adamant - no oil leak.

FF a month, same story again. Oil level is still fine, power steering fluid level is also fine and the fluid looks far too dark to be ps fluid. Really hoping this isn’t a rack leak. Could be axle shaft seal?

Any thoughts would really help out. Thanks all, i’ve attached a video.

Usually on om651 all that oil can come from the oil cooler (the block containing the oil filter). Check if the leak starts there in the engine bay. It seems strange to me

Thanks mate, indys having a look this weekend. I’ve heard oil cooler can be an expensive fix though. Only just had the chain tensioner done as well.

I don't know if I told something absurd, but all that oil it's strange. Have you checked if coolant is contaminated with oil?

Something absurd? and yeah I’ve had a look and the coolant is fine.

Probably was the tensioner. Often happens as it is in a tight corner
