My W204 dislikes sidelight bulbs it seems (Pre-facelift) I changed them to LED (with canbus resistors built in, common type on ebay) and they all lasted no longer than a couple of months before failing. Yet the same ones, (same batch) have lasted well over a year and still going on our W220 S class and other cars.
Ive since tried several different style LED's in the W204 and it still blows them after only a few weeks or so. (Quite often popping off an LED chip or two which helpfully drops down into the headlight, to never be gotten out again )
Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix? Or W5W led that lasts well?
Ive seen the ones Killahertz(?) was selling but i dont want to pay that much for them to last a couple of months too before failing.
I also think the more often i change them, the more likely I am to damage the holders beyond repair. I've been putting normal bulbs in there recently and they aren't lasting too well either :/
Thanks
