Say what?
Where it should be anyway?

Or you could try something really horrible like this...

Can you take the wheel, ....I'm just stepping into the boot to make a call
Craig, I think the easiest (not the cheapest) solution may be to buy the Mercedes SAP device, which will work with the car's antenna. As far as I recall, the Viseeo only works with the phone's antenna.
Do check that you have the dip switches set correctly. I am sure I read at some point that Mic issues can be solved by adjusting that.
Also, I think there is a scroll wheel on the side of the Viseeoeoeoe that affects the microphone gain. I had the 3000 in my CL and never had any issues with call quality.
There is no easy answer for the signal issue. The only way I can think of is a re-radiating antenna, like you say. You wouldn't have to run a wire that way, only one internal.
That said, I have not had good luck with those antennas before.
No, won't work. My COMAND is too old and I use an iPhone, neither of which the SAP is compatible with...
What have been your experiences Alex?
Is there a power supply nearby to the parcel shelf??

I had the same unit in my W215, worked perfectly after adjusting the volume whist the phone was connected.
Thanks for that. I shall fiddle tonight with it.
Ok. A quarter hour looking at the car with one of the electrical engineers has generated a plan. High boost antenna to be hidden in the rear bumper; cable routed up into boot trim to the re- radiating module on the underside of the parcel shelf; power taken from rear fusebox through rear seat back.
I can see this being fun!!!

Sounds like a plan. The only issue I see with that setup, is the 2 antennas may pick up each others signal, which will kill the performance.
Let me know which kit you end up going with.
