If I had at the time known both tyres were needing replacing I would have opted for Kumho brand, quite, smooth ride and reasonable grip as on my 55 :)

There are so many types on the market now, all passing their government standards when new, it's when they are 1/4's to 1/2 way through there life the standards change on many tyres or all. Be interesting to found out exactly how a 10k tyre compares to when it was new ;)
My tyre supplier has beaten the above supplier on every tyre I have brought from her so far :D

The Uniroyal RS3 I use are still brilliant and are being replaced as soon as the new pair arrive, they are down to 2mm and still very stable in the wet

Got mine through the CT this morning without any advisories but they mentioned again the rear fog light not being on the correct side for here. Looks like I'll have to run a wire between the rear light units as the LHS one doesn't have a connection although the bulb is there and there is a spare place in the connector.
I mentioned it here before and someone said that LHS doubles up as a brake light should the brake bulb fail. Be a pity and expensive to have to change both rear light units and a wiring harness.
Anyway it's something I'll look into next year!

Can you not just fit a failed bulb in the working side , this may then transfer the fog light to the other side ? May be a bulb warning though .

Don't know Wighty, if MB haven't overcomplicated a simple fog light I will just run a wire between them and have the choice of two on at the same time or the choice of sides.

I decided to replace the regular Festoon Bulbs in the Front and Rear Interior - as well as the Boot, with LED's. It looks much better especially with the Black Interior - just lifts it up at night.

    I used these: [IMG]

And then seeing as I had some LED Sidelights and some LED H7 Bulbs that came with the SLK, I fitted those just as High Beams as I have the Standard HID's fitted for the Dipped Beam.

They fitted alright and there is plenty of space to put the Cap back on.... So now all Lights look the same colour! Yay!

These are the ones I fitted - definitely look the business!

Managed to drop a load of coins between the centre console and the seat! Now I'm stressed that they'll make their way somewhere to do some damage...

+1 Have been using Kumho Ku39's for a few years now, on all sorts, take lots of power and wear well enough.

Not great in the wet, but not bad either. Cant beat it for the price.

Picked them up from the bodyshop (R230 Sl500 and 190E which I have missed for 6+ months).

    Happy days

That's a long time in the bodyshop. Are they wonderfully improved by their long period of captivity? Before and after photos would be interesting.

Added 2 pingi moisture absorbing bags in the rear compartment housing the Sam. Interested to see if the blue dot turns pink, and how long it takes

I did the same  fell between the seat rail and the carpet, couldn't get them out, then had a brain wave, got one of those flexible rulers, worked a treat, as it bends, shoved the ruler down the top of the rail and shoved the coins out, job
    done! :D

I placed one of those moisture absorbing containers in the cargo area of my old Triumph estate 4 days ago, container is dry, inside windows wet with moisture  Last time I buy one of these from the pound shop for 50p :(
