SLK back on the driveway and taxed after 2 months SORN, tried to fit the genuine MB mud flaps but gave up, will probably pay someone to do it for me! However, sun is shining so early lunch then off for a roof down drive somewhere for an hour or two, blow the cobwebs out of the system!!

Is that sand though, ours is sand and it's a bit like washing it down with emery paper.

The other issue at the moment is Poo, if you don't spot it straight away the sun bakes it on hard. With the Sea Gulls present diet, no soft foods like Chips, that also is quite abrasive. You no doubt have the same issues

Yup and just had to go out and wipe some bird poo off it as well!!!!

Anyway, not long back after 3 hours roof down in the sunshine, lovely mix of country roads with places where the right foot could unleash the lovely sound of the V6, single track lanes, superb views from the top of the South Downs and a bit of a blast along the A20. So much better than driving the S204!

Anyway, not long back after 3 hours roof down in the sunshine, lovely mix of country roads with places where the right foot could unleash the lovely sound of the V6, single track lanes, superb views from the top of the South Downs and a bit of a blast along the A20. So much better than driving the S204!

They really are a fun drive aren’t they
It’s not a sports car, suspension and gearbox not responsive enough. They are however really nice to drive on the roads we have (especially with 16” hoops )

I have flappy paddles on mine, you don't have to select M to use them, in C or S just start using a paddle and it switches to M until you paddle back up to 7 when it reverts to C. Useful when you hit a downhill and want some engine braking, quicker than kickdown to get past MAMILs - saw a perfect example this afternoon on the A20, reasonable amount of traffic doing 50-60, he's got no helmet but does have his earpods in!! Idiot is too polite a word to describe my thoughts.

Checked the tyre pressures this morning and they're exactly at the correct cold pressures - 32 front, 35 rear with a proper pressure tester. Car does not feel too firm and had no comments from the passenger seat, so maybe I don't need to change to 16's, just put something better than Hankooks on the rears when they wear down (have already changed the front Hankooks to Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance and noticed the difference to the steering and feel of the front, much better).

Around here it is mainly sticky pollen coming from the trees mixed with a bit of dust. Horrible stuff!

Same, Sonax really does the job to make it easy to wash off though

But wouldn't you know it when I started it up there was what sounded like a very expensive wine coming from below the bonnet and it was difficult to trace which cider it was coming from.
Luckily in the end it was just an inexpensive plonk and will be soon fixed.
