Vacuum hose to turbo actuator on ML270 perished from heat at turbo end. Hose split. No vacuum. No boost!!! Heaps of black smoke and no performance. Finally found fault and she is away again....

Drove to the Priory Hospital in Birmingham yesterday in the SLC for my 4 monthly CKD check up. The traffic was just like any other Tuesday nothing like the first lockdown. It rained all the way there & back, so today I washed it & put it back in the garage for next time.

Took a charged up battery, swapped out the 3.4 volt reading one and hey presto one running 55 sounding superb and even the soft close is working again

Cut the X pipe out and fitted straight pipe , makes a lovely waffle now , also tested vac pump fir central locking , got it working again but lost the 2 little seals out the end of the pump , it work but isnt holding enough pressure to unlock the doors everytime

Sadly my wheels are a disgrace!

Low profile tyres on my CLS63 AMG and Llandudno council replacing most of main Street kerbstones with new square profile granite kerbs.

The old round shouldered kerbs weren't so bad but square granite? No mercy!!

I'll need to get all 4 refaced before summer

Paint some clear lacquer on the damaged part, it will help protect the wheel until you can get it fixed.

Drove the 55 to work yesterday with the old 11year old battery out of one of the old classics. Early hours this morning and the message 'Consumers Off Line'
Oh great no demist, no phone, no parking sensors etc etc, after 10 minutes of driving all things electrical restored so I switched on all accessories and enjoyed the ride. This morning expecting the worse and the 11 year old battery registered 14 volts
Not the same with the new Mercedes battery that's been on charge and registers 10 volts after 12 hours on slow charge, crank up the voltage and sparks fly off the charger connections, very scary Might have to dig out my warranty
