View attachment 48341 Spent about 2 hours (some yesterday) trying to clean the car's headlights to get rid of that "uv scum" or whatever it's called .
Had a look at buying some kits , but used various bits of sanding pad from different sources within the garage . Used a spray claylube with the sandpaper and followed it up with some medium cut polish with my DA polisher , the a final finishing polish .
I found some Chemical Guys Jet Seal in the garage which is apparently a uv protector , so slapped 2 coats of that on at the end with 20 mins to dry between each coat .
The lights aren't a 100% as I didint go too aggressive with the sandpaper and it was my first time . I would be more confident next year if it needs it .
Anyway both cars now done and they are a massive improvement for zero cost .
This is the CLK's light
Wighty, do you think that kit would get, scratches off glass?

The headlights are plastic so sanding and polishing them is probably a world of difference to glass . People do use polishing machines to get scratches out of glass , but I think you have to be very careful to not overheat it . I'm not really the person to advise on that .
Having done 4 headlights to an OK standard though , I am now a headlight expert
