E350 CDi AMG Night Premium Plus (Sept 2015) with GAD Tuning re-map. Definitely not double badged.
Forget the dealer, you have Cole@MBS Southampton on your doorstep!
I was just wondering if the gearbox software made it lumpy when it needed a service to persuade you to take it to the dealer.

I'd never use an MB dealer myself. MBS all the way.

Heard a few rattles recently from the back end of the car. Loose heat shield (again, different side).
The shield had given way in 2 places. Mananged to remove 1 nut, now replaced with a large washer underneath to compensate for the corroded area.

Temp fix (for a while).

My hands were dirty, can't remember the last they looked so black. Not usual for a keyboard tapper.

It’s good to get away from the screen for adults as well as kids :)

So decided to give the old girl the once over first time in a while. Then a proper shocker I notice a little rust on the inside of the arch.

This can't be seen from standing next to the car I had to physically get under it to see.
What is the best cause of action I was thinking of sanding it back, touch of primer and touch up the paint with the matching colour. Luckily I think I have caught it early.
Suggestions?

15 miles round trip to our local village pub. Lovely blue sky reasonably warm 13C, & the beer was great.

Washed and spray waxed. Not looking bad for 15 years.
Ordered some 25mm H&R DRA spacers yesterday, the arch extensions look a little unfilled.

For the first time since we've had the 210 it no longer has a slight vibration at 60 mph (felt like a wheel out of balance).
The cure? The rear undertray has been removed!
I noticed some damage to the leading edge of the rear section and suspect it was causing an aerodynamic effect under the car. That's the only thing that's changed and the vibration has gone!

I see lots of cars with flapping undertrays and wonder if the driver is aware or not. Interesting fix.
I damaged the smart rear one whilst fording... can’t say as I noticed extra vibes but I repaired it the same day.

I do wonder if its worth cleaning cars these days, I spent over 2 hours cleaning 3 cars this morning and all of them have a layer of dust on them already :(
