Have you got a recording of the stepper motor sound you are referring to?

I only ask as I got a "ticking" sound come from my Aircon vent yesterday which went away when I turned the Aircon off and back on....

Not got a recording and wouldn't have a clue how to start making one to be honest. Suffice to say it's pretty loud and can be heard from outside the car, a chattering type noise would be my best description I suppose, disappearing when it's done it's initial faffing around.

I'll tune my hearing aid...

You won't need a hearing aid Steve, it'll be audible from inside your workshop even if the car is outside

Front passenger side spring broke at the bottom (don’t they all…) :rolleyes: I've ordered the struts and springs - £301.31 all in for 2 x Bilstein B4 Shock absorbers and 2 x Febi Bilstein Coil Springs - although not here yet… Wanted to check if I need the top mounts as well and as Theo is...

Drove home from Luton airport after a very nice 6 days in sunny & no rain Pula Croatia.

Serviced the smart

Oil suck with Lidl electric pump is the easy bit - oil filter also simple as you can get to it without lifting the vehicle.

Air filter is a pain in that you need to remove some air hoses to get to it - putting them back is a PITA

Fuel filter is in front of drivers side rear wheel - also a PITA to get to.

All done and good for another 12 months / 10k miles

Had it broken into today by the very nice roadside assistance man today...... locked keys, phone and life in general inside the car...... seems like I shut all the doors in just the right sequence for the car not to recognise the key inside....... another few hours I will never get back...... sigh....

A207 now out of winter storage and now away for a long weekend on Anglesey. Lovely drive down, excellent Welsh pothole free roads! What a joy to drive on. Down to Benllech Beach in a bit with the other half and the Labrador! Probably involve a chippy lunch!
