Hi,
My 2003 W211 is telling me it's due for a Service G+ in 300 km. It's the first service that it needs since I bought it from a MB dealer about 15 months ago.

Can anyone tell me what work should be done as part of a G+?
What sort of price should I expect to pay for a main dealer to carry it out? (I'm in Dublin, so if anyone has experience of Irish garages, all the better. UK prices are still good pointers though, and most welcome.)
Can anyone recommend an independent garage in Dublin for such a service?

All advice is much appreciated.

Regards,
Ken.

impossible to say as these letters don't really mean much. Anything over an A is roughly £400 but it varies with what 'extras' need doing. Things like gearbox oil, coolant change, brake pads etc vary it more wildly.
Do ask for a discount as they will compete when pushed. I have to call up for a C+ this week and i won't be paying list.
I recently got my Freelander2 serviced for £165 - the original quote was £380! Extreme I know and it was partly as a goodwill gesture following some issues, but it shows what can be done.
