Broken Bonnet Catch - 1988 300SE

Hello.
I'm new here. Found the forum while looking for spares. I live in France. The bonnet catch on my 1988 (RHD) 300SE has given way. Not sure of the details, took it to my local garage (not Mercedes) and they will be 'ringing round' to find spares this-afternoon, but don't seem all that hopeful. I'm visiting the dentist this-afternoon so may not know more until tommorrow, but the moment I'm assuming it's the catch plus cable that are needed.
Please will somebody anybody advise where I can get the parts?

It all depends on what parts of the catch are broken, MB should have them or a breaker

Visted our local Renault garage again today. The guy in charge had ordered the cable from MB, but rang while I was there and found MB had forgotten. He had the fax with the details from them in front of him but apparently things had gone astray. He'd been waiting for the part to arrive so that he could ring me to book the car in. Always pays to check these things, I guess. Ah well, should be repaired Saturday, so hopefully a satisfactory conclusion.
Incidentally, he had considered renewing the 2 bonnet catches at the same time but at 300Euros each decided that the old ones were just fine.

Regards
Peter
