Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help me. I have a 2000 Cl500 W215. On friday i got a puncture in the near side front tyre. Went to change the tyre and it appears that a bolt from the suspension control arm has dug into the tyre and cut through the entire tyre as it has been rotating, completely shredding it in the process.
With the spare tyre now on i can barely get my finger between the top of the tyre and the bolt connected to the control arm (probably twice as big a gap on the offside) and am worried that if the car is driven it will destroy the new tyre.
an advisory on the last mot said suspension arm has slight play in pin/bush nearside front lower - driven about 1000 miles since mot
Is this the problem? or could it be something to do with the abc? the car raises and lowers with the ride height button although the nearside front will sag if not driven for a couple of days it lifts when put into gear.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated as i don't have that much knowledge and have only had the car 6 months and now am currently car less as scared to drive it currently!
Thanks in advance
Adam
