Mercedes cdi 220 2011
Hi guys, great to be a part of the forum. Just looking for abit of help and advice.

This morning my Mercedes cdi c220 2011 was turning over but not firing up. I tried a few times then stopped. When I looked in the engine there is a pool of Diesel over the injectors? But when I turn the car over there are no signs of a leak. Just bubbles in the pool.

Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on?

Welcome!
Sounds like injector seals by your description.
Any idea if your injectors were replaced? A lot of that vintage were

Maybe two faults, leak off pipes and leaky injector seal.
Clean off and investigate a squirt of WD type stuff should show a leaky seal and the pipe will get wet.
Could get someone to turn it over whilst observing from a safe distance ?

Thanks so much for your speedy reply I have had someone turn it over while observing I haven't been able to see any leaks coming from the pipes themselves I did have my injector seals changed a few weeks ago because I was getting black sludge before however what I am finding on my engine now is clean diesel. Because it is an automatic it attempts to turn over for about 10 seconds by itself after this process stops I can hear trickling but I cannot see where it is coming from at all the tow truck just came and collected it as it was stuck outside my mother's house and when the tow truck began to pull the car onto the ramp I noticed clean diesel was dripping from underneath also however when it was on the drive there was no pool or fuel.

Sounds like it needs to go back to where you had the injectors reseated,
it is a job you have to do in a methodical manner.
The seats in the head have to be examined and cut to a nice even finish, the bolt holes need to be cleaned out and new bolts, the injector itself needs to have a clean face for the seal.
The right seals some use I think honda ones.
Correct procedure for tightening bolts to the correct torque.
None of its too technical but requires doing otherwise you get leaks.
The diesel leak should be obvious on inspection.

Thanks pal it's off to the garage again. They managed to get it started straight away using a jumpstart somehow. They are now investigating the leak I believe
