Run Flat Sensor

Could someone briefly explain how the runflat indicator on my 2013 W246 works please?

If your car will tell you the pressure of each wheel, you have a pressure, temperature transmitter on each tyre valve that talks to a receiver in the car.

If your car says you need to check your tyres .... guess which one is flat .... the car uses its ABS sensors to monitor which wheel is going a bit faster than the others ie the one that's softer & has a smaller rolling diameter.

There's a bloke 2 inches tall with his feet glued to the wheel.

If the tyre bumps his head he shouts ouch.

Tiny microphones pick this up and relay it to the ecu.
