V class heater blower replacement

I have a P reg V class 230. The blower motor has packed up and Im hoping someone can tell me how to remove the dash and replace the motor please. Little Ella my 3 yr old complained about the cold all the way home last night so I have to do something...Is there a Haynes manual or something similar.

This is a crazy job to do and all of the heater out.

I wonder if it is the blower relay at fault this is the M40K 17 it sits just under the dash just below the steering wheel

dash out! odd that, it is a doddle on a 638 vito, i guess the v-class has a different setup?

dash out! odd that, it is a doddle on a 638 vito, i guess the v-class has a different setup?

The heater box has to come out and all the A/C discharged and water lines taken off plus a lot more

The blower simply became progressively worse so I,m guessing its more than the relay but I will certainly pull it and replace in the forlorn hope that it may be this simple.I will keep you posted thankyou

sounds a little labour intensive but then I must try and repair or replace it.

If it's the blower motor you don't need to remove the dash. The motor is located behind and under the glovebox, remove the panel beneath the glovebox for access. A simple job which will take about 40 minutes.

I can sell you a good used motor if you require

This is a sprinter,,and you do have to remove all of the dash

Yes it was me miss reading ,we had a guy a couple of weeks back asking for a sprinter,,and I said sprinter in my above post,,I though it was odd when the OP here mentioned his child

Just remove the panel above the front passengers knees, and it is staring you in the face!

Well I finally got round to removing the motor,switched the brushes ,now works fine... Now need to try and remove pollen filter if I can find it
