If only you got what you payed for all the time .................

Although HiFlys might well be the worst tyres available or re-badged decent ones.

I can vouch for the Vredestein wintrac extremes - excellent. Haven't tried many of the others certainly not hifly :)

Sorry to hijack somewhat but in a similar vain, I am also looking for new tyres on my E63 Estate. I was wondering what your thoughts would be on 'all seasons' rather than winters on an E63? The manual only covers summer/winter options and states that I can fit 255/35/19 winter tyres all round but no mention of what to do with all seasons. My summer tyre sizes are 285/30/19 rear and 255/35/19 front.

In terms of all seasons, I have only found one manufacturer that does them in a 255/35/19 tyre size and that is the Vredestein Quatrac 5. I have not found any all season tyres at 285/30/19 so if I wanted to fit that tyre size, I have to fit winters which for me living in the south is probably unnecessary.

I am also not sure what a 255 wide tyre will be like on a 9.5" wide rear wheel, there cannot be much overlap!

I am trying to avoid buying 18" wheels for my E63 hence looking at all seasons as a compromise.

Cheers.
