I have a 2016 C Class Coupe. The front number plate holder has dented where someone has reversed into the front of my car so I need to replace it. I’ve taken the plate off, removed the screws in the plate holder, but it still won’t remove. I’ve unclipped the parts at the bottom that clip into the bottom grille, but it still won’t remove. I’ve had a look and it seems as though there are additional plugs going into the bumper. Is this a case of just pulling them out with force, or is there a certain way to remove them?

Can't remember from when I took mine off a few years ago , but I would guess that there are a couple of plastic prongs that center the holder into holes in the bumper ? , can you gently prise the plate holder forward a few mm's so you can shine a torch behind it .

Thanks for the replies. Turns out there are 4 clips at the back which have a one time use, so the only way to get it off is to snap them when you pull it off. o_O
