Agreed! The 211 seats look like “proper” seats! Oh no! Another impossibility to add to my list! :(

Im not going to find what I’m looking for am I?

It can be as Zen as it likes, far too fussy

The weird thing is the VIN would indicate real leather and so would that stitching on the seats, but they just don’t quite look right too me and then he also said Artico, so very strange indeed

I don't think dealers know their harris from their elbow when it comes to what spec their cars have. You see loads of cars described as having leather when they quite obviously have Artico/vinyl

On the Vin decoder readout for my car it clearly says 'Leather' but it's not, it's Artico. It's no wonder that many dealers are more than a little confused :confused:

Yes the salesman definitely said ‘Artico, man made leather seats’ so you need to double check this he may have been wrong if the build list says leather. Disc brakes look a bit tired judging by the rust on the hubs - one of my pet hates why but very attractive alloy wheels on a car and not paint the disc hubs properly - check the wear on them to make sure you don’t need replacement disc and pads a very costly job at the next service.

You’re right, he did say Artico (I missed it first time I watched the video) and I do believe that’s what it is. At least I now know it’s something I don’t want! :D

Thanks for the input but I’ve already told them the car is not for me.
A lovely looking beast from the outside but the interior let it down.
I agree about the hubs too!

Go down the Decode and is says "200A Leather" then "211A Black Leather/Anthracite". Mercedes are notorious for using a combination of Leather and Artico on seats with only the centres being Leather but that will be the same for all colours I think.

As for not liking the seats have you actually sat on one?

No I haven’t. It’s not really the comfort or the feel of the seat, it’s that I really don’t like the look of those particular ones. To me they look flat and without any of the lustre that I appreciate leather for. I suppose I’ve been spoiled by the Nappa in the SL

It could be the camera or they have only been wiped down and a good application of "Liquid Leather" will make a difference

Hit the nail on its head there

This one has appeared, with Airmatic - but could you live with the interior colour???

That Tan is an acquired taste for sure, I actually don’t mind it and it did only come in real leather

That will look so much better in the leather than on a picture. I had "Cocoa" interior in the 911 and it was very nice indeed.

    Oh cool! Thank you!!!
I’ll ask for a few more pics of that interior but from what I can see I could live with it.
I appreciate the link, thank you so much. I had more or less given up on finding the car I want.
