Does anyone know where is best to buy Mercedes CLA lightbulbs, both daylight and headlight bulbs. The lights have become extremely dim on my car.

I am looking for the white light bulbs. I was told to stay away from LED bulbs as this can mess with the cars computer as it can think the car has a bulb out due to LED’s running on low voltage.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A question that has been asked many times as "original" headlight (halogen) bulbs on MB's are rubbish. Normal recommendation is Osram Nightbreakers for the headlights (which I have used for ages), only version I have not tried is the latest Laser + - because I have not had to change a bulb for quite a while. In terms of previous versions I have Ultimates in dip and Lasers in main, find no difference between them except price (Lasers are more expensive), both are a major improvement on originals but IMHO Unlimiteds are better VFM.

If you car was originally fitted with halogens, forget LED's as they're illegal, also unless you have headlight washers and self levelling forget HID, also illegal.

As for sidelights, I've tried a variety of LED's on my S203 and S204, they're a PITA to change (especially the NS) and although the ones I tried were Canbus friendly and had heat sinks, they did not last long, so I finally gave up having lost lots of skin from my fingers and reverted to original filament bulbs, although there is a Philips version that I believe are decent and a nice white.

Great info thanks Chris. I believe mine are normal halogen bulbs and I agree they are rubbish. I’ll take a look into some of the suggestions you mentioned and see what works out the best . Thanks for the help!

With halogen it's William Kelvin Vs Lumen output , you can't have both !

Those Philips w5w blue light blue glass halogens are pure marketing and the image white colour won't resemble the actual product .

5W halogen external lights are pathetic .

There is zero light output difference between Nightbreaker Unlimiteds and Lasers, just a marketing gimmick to reduce market share of some of the other tat out there.

They’re still by far consistently the best halogen lamp on the market though.
